Getting music in

How do I add music?

Open the Library tab and tap the + button, or share audio files to Aomiba Player from the Files app. MP3, M4A, AAC, WAV, FLAC and AIFF all work.

Can it watch a folder for new files?

Yes. In Settings, choose a folder under Folder Sync and anything you drop into it is imported automatically the next time you open the app. Useful if you sync a music folder from a computer through iCloud Drive.

Where are my files stored?

On your device, inside the app. Imported audio is copied in, so the app keeps working if the original moves or the source is offline. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.

The album or artist is wrong

Tap a track, then edit its details — title, artist, album and artwork are all editable. Albums group by the album name, so correcting the name on each track brings them back together.

Apple Watch

How do I sync music to my watch?

On the iPhone, open an album or playlist, tap the menu and choose Sync to Apple Watch.

Open Aomiba Player on the watch first and leave it on screen while it transfers. With the watch app open, tracks stream across in seconds and you can watch the progress count up. If the watch app is closed, watchOS queues the transfer in the background and it can take a very long time to arrive — it looks like nothing is happening, but it hasn't failed.

The sync seems stuck

Open Aomiba Player on the watch and keep it on screen. That switches the transfer to the fast path and the playlist will show "Syncing 2 of 5" as tracks land. The watch's How to Sync screen also shows whether it can currently see your iPhone.

Why won't the watch play out loud?

watchOS only allows music apps to keep playing in the background through Bluetooth headphones, so playback routes to your headphones rather than the watch speaker. If nothing is connected, the watch tells you to connect some.

I removed a playlist from the watch — is my music gone?

No. That only frees space on the watch. Your library on the phone is untouched, and so are the original files you imported.

Playback and visualisations

Does it keep playing when I lock the phone?

Yes. Playback continues in the background with lock screen and AirPods controls, and it picks up where you left off when you come back.

How do I change the visualiser?

Tap the visualiser button under the artwork on Now Playing, then swipe left or right to move between the four scenes.

What are timestamped notes?

A note tied to a moment rather than a whole track. Add one while listening and it reappears on screen when playback reaches that point — handy for practice notes, mixes and recordings of your own.

Purchases

What do supporter purchases unlock?

A decorative theme, as a thank-you. Every feature in the app is free. Platinum and Diamond are auto-renewing subscriptions — manage or cancel them anytime in your Apple Account settings.

I paid before and I'm on a new device

Open Settings and tap Restore Purchases. As long as you're signed in with the same Apple Account, it comes back.

Something else?

Email and a human will read it. Include what you did, what you expected and what happened instead — screenshots help a lot.
